World Archery Championship
From July, 3 to July, 17 2011, the municipalities of Nichelino and Turin are housing the World Archery Championship, valid also as single trial for the qualifying rounds to London 2012 Olympic Games. For the first time, the competition will be composed of two parts: the first for able-bodied athletes and the second for disabled athletes. Qualifying and knock-out rounds will take place in the park of the Royal Palace of Stupinigi, in Nichelino, while the final competition will take place in Turin (piazza Castello). The programme includes opening and closing events and about 1,000 people are expected to attend this event (athletes, coaches and helpers).
