Royal dinner. At table in the Great Gallery from April to December 2011
At the Reggia di Venaria the regional specialties of Italian cuisine prepared by the finest chefs served in the outstanding Great Gallery of the Reggia.
Once a month, from April to November, this exceptional gastronomic journey can end with a Royal Dinner (cost € 60.00) and a taste of traditional dishes from Italian regional cuisine, prepared by great chefs in the outstanding setting of the Great Gallery. You may also purchase your groceries at the market of gastronomic excellence, set up inside the Reggia. Dinners will be held on Friday night, the market will take place on the following Saturday and Sunday.
Royal dinners pay tribute to Italian haute cuisine and its leading names: all the great chefs who contribute to making eating in Italy a world-class experience. The chefs will welcome visitors and food enthusiasts to the ten royal dinners, each devoted to one Italian region. Indulge in this unique experience and embark on a sensory tour of taste between tradition and innovation. The opening dinner will be hosted by great chefs from Piedmont, the “heirs” to Giovanni Vialardi, Head Cook under Kings Carlo Alberto and Vittorio Emanuele II, who published in 1854 a “Treatise on Modern Cookery and Patisserie”, that inaugurated the Unification of ... Italian cooking! The extraordinary series will continue with nine monthly appointments: dinner after dinner, our guests will discover the history, the colours, and the flavours of Italy, as well as the fundamental role of conviviality and food as key values in the national identity of this country.

Reservation and dates
Starting in April, once a month the outstanding Great Gallery of the Reggia di Venaria will become the setting of special dinner events where the finest chefs will serve Italian regional specialties (cost € 60.00).
From h 19.00 before dinner, guests will have the chance to discover the new display of the Reggia with free audioguides.
Dinners start at h 20.30. Each event is devoted to the typical cuisine of one Italian region and includes one hors d’oeuvre, one first course, one second course with a side dish, dessert, coffee and drinks.
Reservations can be made for the following dates:
April 8, 2011: typical cuisine from SARDINIA
May 13, 2011: typical cuisine from TUSCANY
June 10, 2011: typical cuisine from EMILIA ROMAGNA
July 15, 2011: typical cuisine from SICILY
September 30, 2011: typical cuisine from ABRUZZO
October 21, 2011: typical cuisine from REGGIO CALABRIA
November 18, 2011: typical cuisine from PIEDMONT

Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of advance payment by bank transfer at least 7 days before the selected date.

PLEASE NOTE: reservations cannot be modified and no refund is available for transfers made.
Dinner tables seat 8-10 people each. Smaller groups will be seated next to other guests.
