2011 will be a special year to travel in Italy, because our country will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the national unity, and Torino, the first capital city of Italy, will be a destination not to be missed and an ideal place from which to start discovering the excelences of Piedmont and the Italian spirit.
With the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, Torino has established itself as a tourist destination at national and international levels and data show that tourism in our region is growing.
In 2011 we want to invite to Torino all the Italians – schools, youth, families, associations – as well as the many people of Italian origin who live abroad and those fond of the Italian style to celebrate Italy’s anniversary and to enjoy the appeal of its first capital city.
We have a program of outstanding itineraries that will allow you an unforgettable, made-in-Italy experience. You’ll be able to leave Turin and explore Piedmont’s rich territory: from Langhe to Roero and Monferrato on wine-and-food routes, or in the lake district for a relaxing break, or in the territory of Cuneo for a “royal” trip on board of a classic carriage or car. Furthermore, Turin will act as Italy’s “front door” on a tour to the three capital cities, together with Florence and Rome that are celebrating with us this important anniversary.
