Esperienza Italia focuses on the young, the country’s future, and offers the universe of schools an extensive programme of special events: guided tours and paths of further learning at the exhibitions in Venaria Reale and Officine Grandi Riparazioni and daily meetings at workshops and activities for which a special area of 2,000 m2 has been set aside in the OGR known as School Space.

The aim of Esperienza Italia is to reflect on the past, the present and the future of the country and, at the centre of this path of analysis and debate, it is placing the young, the key figures in the Italy of tomorrow.
The educational project of Esperienza Italia began back in 2008 with a series of teaching events promoted in collaboration with the schools departments of the Regions and Provinces of Italy, together with institutions, foundations, museums and associations that are focused on training and also involving a great number of schools. All these events have been created with the idea of “experience”, with the aim of involving the young in new and stimulating courses and telling about the best in Italian education and training.
In 2011, the students and teachers of Italy are invited to Turin to share their projects and to take part in the many teaching activities in the educational programme, which has the support of the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research.
There will be guided tours for them together with paths of further learning at all the exhibitions in the Reggia di Venaria and the Officine Grandi Riparazioni, and an area of 2,000 m2 set aside in the OGR: School Space.
In this area, every day there will be operative an arena of 200 seats and seven laboratories equipped with Multimedia Interactive Whiteboards, for which a special programme has also been produced: 150 Digit.
From March to November each of these areas will provide education, meetings and shows put on by institutions, museums, foundations, associations, schools and networks of schools from all over Italy. The laboratories are based on the main topics behind the exhibitions for Esperienza Italia (history, art, technology, well-being) and diversified by age group for pupils at primary schools through to second year at secondary schools.
The calendar of teaching proposals for Esperienza Italia will continue beyond the 2010/2011 school year into the first months of the following, until 20 November 2011, and will include a special programme of activities taking place throughout the summer.
